DOLLHOUSES
Performance, 120 min., 2021, Hamburg
DOLLHOUSES is a collaborative performance event. In 2021 the doll's houses are located in the Hamburg district of St. Pauli and inhabited by 12 performers. Nora has left the doll's house and thus, the familiar order, laws and feelings are left out of balance. The visitors are invited to move through the rooms and scenes. Even if it doesn't always seem like it, they are expected.
On two evenings in October 2021, in respectively 3 time slots, visitors were invited to visit DOLLHOUSES. During the performance, visitors come across different situations, encounters and relationships that negotiate interpersonal power relations, neighborhood, distance and intimacy. In the confrontation with the events, one is on one’s own, and everyone has to decide: do I stay, do I go, do I speak, do I keep silent?
Three Airbnb apartments, a hotel lobby and a parking lot in the neighborhood of St. Pauli, Hamburg are the backdrop of the first edition of DOLLHOUSES, a collectively developed performance by Lisa Klosterkötter, Signe Raunkjaer Holm, Olga Gry Becker, Liza Dries, Jakob Engel, Moritz Englebert, Paula Erstmann, Rosanna Graf, Johannes Hoffmann, Philomena Lauprecht, Niels Bendix Neumann, Philipp Joy Reinhardt, Miriam Stoney, My Anh Chi Trinh, Gesa Troch and Frederik Vium.
